Champagne Moët et Chandon
Moët et Chandon is a champagne house from the French town of Epernay. The house was founded in 1743 and is the largest champagne house in the world. Moët & Chandon has, during its 250 years of existence, built up a great reputation. The house has 600 hectares of vineyards in 13 of the 17 grand cru municipalities. The production however, is so great that 75% of the grapes is purchased from about 1,000 contracted farmers. In the cellars of Moët & Chandon, 100 million bottles are aging, equivalent to four times the annual revenue. These cellars beneath Epernay are up to 30 meters deep and 28 kilometers long. The Moët & Chandon champagnes are assembled from 200 vineyards.
