Chateau Croix Cardinale
Château Croix Cardinale is produced from vines that are an average of 40 years old. They border the vines of Château Fleur Cardinale and are planted on a single holding vineyard. The wine produced here consist out of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc.
This Saint-Emilion Grand Cru is made into wine and then matured in cellars that have been fully renovated using environmentally friendly principles.
The techniques that the Château Croix Cardinale uses are similar to those used for the Château Fleur Cardinale: careful management on the vine, manual harvesting of the grapes into small crates at the point of optimal grape maturity, grape-sorting by densimetry, and vinification in 100% new French oak barrels.
Château Croix Cardinale is a wine suitable for aging, that is opulent, rich and moderately tannic with a voluptuous black fruit aroma.
