Cabernet Sauvignon

This grape variety originated from the Bordeaux region. Genetic analysis has shown that it is a hybrid from Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc .

Bunches and berries are small. Cabernet Sauvignon has the potential to make wines that have a very interesting tannic structure and color. Generally they are suitable for aging (on wood). When the full ripeness can be achieved, the aromas of this grape give pleasing , complex flavors. The downside is that , when vinified as a single blend , the wines often lack fatness and roundness.
