This grape is a natural mutation of the Sauvignon blanc. The clusters and berries are small. The Sauvignon gris can provide very powerful aromatic wines , full-bodied, with aromas that are slightly heavier and with a lower acidity than Sauvignon Blanc. The potential accumulation of sugars of this breed is very high ( more than the Sauvignon Blanc ), and seems to be particularly suitable for the production of sweet wines and for the production of dry aromatic wines ( rarely as a single blend).
