The Viognier grape originates from the Côtes du Rhône region. The bunches and berries are small. In favorable circumstances this grape can produce very aromatic (apricot, peach ...), complex, powerful and high-quality wines. This grape has the potential to make wines with high alcohol content, but sometimes lack sufficient acidity. This variety is sometimes used to make sparkling wines or is blended with other grapes. When blended with Syrah, good results are achieved. This blend gives the Syrah grape more flavor and finesse.
