Cadillac - Côtes de Bordeaux
The Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux appellation is located in the Entre-Deux-Mers region and has been recognized since 1973. Located on an area of 210 hectares with soils of clay, limestone and gravel soils, this appellation annually produces 6,000 hectoliters of sweet wines. The wines of Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux are at the same quality level as the wines from Loupiac and Sainte-Croix-du-Mont.
The appellation is planted with traditional Bordeaux grape varieties. The Semillon grape, conducive to the noble rot and with high sugar content, is taking 88 % of the total planted surface for his account. The appellation also produces Sauvignon. This grape brings a touch of liveliness. The Muscadelle is used to provide additional complexity to the wines.
